As Press Officer for France, sitting within the Eurostar Paris Press Bureau, you will work alongside the Senior Press Officer to devise and execute innovative PR campaigns tailored to support broader business objectives. You will additionally ensure we have compliance with communication strategies and objectives in day-to-day activities.

We are looking for someone to...

  • Assist in the development and delivery of individual media relations plans in support of the agreed strategy, positioning Eurostar favourably in key French media.
  • Write high quality press materials tailored to individual media and markets – press releases, plans, Q&As, briefing documents in French.
  • Build and maintain a strong network of relevant media contacts.
  • Organise and escort press trips working with appropriate partners (tourist boards, hotels, restaurants etc), as well assisting in the organisation of external events for press and other key stakeholders.
  • Assist senior press officer during day-to-day media relations activities in continental markets, including France.
  • Arrange and escort filming and photography, including preparing contracts and ensuring company-wide briefings are sent to all the relevant parties.
  • Manage the press office inbox and deal with requests for travel booking, information, press facilities, imagery, and filming.
  • Take part in the on-call roster, providing out-of-hours media relations support, acting as a spokesperson on all matters relating to Eurostar for both reputation promotion and protection.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of communication plans, including briefings and Q&As, for issues and crises situations ensuring a consistent and effective response.

Requirements

You'll need:

  • Previous demonstrable experience in previous PR and media relations roles, in agency and/or in-house environments
  • Good knowledge of the French media landscape with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
  • Strong interpersonal and client management skills
  • To be a creative, flexible, and outgoing individual with a strong sense of responsibility, commitment, and drive
  • Strong writing and verbal skills in French
  • Fluent in French. English full professional proficiency.
  • Ability to work independently and to deadline.
  • A team player, both service oriented and results driven
  • The role requires regular travel between Brussels, Amsterdam, Paris, and London.

Our recruitment process for this role will include two stages of interviews, as well as a written task.
