Presales Engineer

Freshdesk is looking for high-energy Pre-sales Engineers with excellent technical, communication and organisational skills to independently consult and engage with prospects and customers. Previous experience at SaaS-based software (ITSM/ CRM/ customer support) companies will be preferred.

As a Freshdesk Presales Engineer you will work hand in hand with the sales team to introduce the Freshdeskproduct suite to both business and technical users. You will help prospective customers and partners to understand “Why Freshdesk is important to their business”. Your close involvement with cross-functional teams of developers and architects across continents will be important for customer problem solving and overall growth and development of the company and its products. In a startup environment at Freshdesk Australia, you will play a pivotal role in the company’s presence and growth.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver product messaging to highlight Freshdesk’s value proposition through whiteboards and slide presentations, product demonstrations, proof of concept management and RFP response documents

- Travel to events, meetings and customer locations in support of sales efforts when required

- Work with Sales / Business Development teams to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand and resolve key technical challenges and convert prospects to customers

- Work independently with prospect’s / customer’s technical teams on technical scoping. You will be involved in complex workflow analysis and in-depth examination of the interaction between Freshdesk and customer’s infrastructure, to drive consensus among key stakeholders

- Work closely with the product management team to demonstrate and prototype integrations within customer environments

- Keep abreast of competition, liaise with Product Management and Marketing to stay on top of industry trends and devise enhancements to Freshdesk Product Suites

- Provide technical mentorship and training for new hires and peers

Minimum Qualifications

- Bachelors degree or equivalent in Computer Science / IT Engineering or equivalent practical experience.

- 3+ years of experience as a technical sales engineer in the support/CRM software space (ITSM experience preferred).
