About the role

We’re looking for a PR Manager to help drive awareness and understanding of Motorway, across both the consumer and corporate audience. Reporting to the Head of Communications, this newly created role will be focussed on driving Motorway’s UK consumer PR campaigns and an always on press office, during an exciting period for the business. 

We’re looking for a proactive self-starter who understands the UK media agenda, has an exemplary record of generating media coverage and has strong experience of developing and executing creative PR campaigns that deliver measurable results. 

Based in our central London office with flexibility to work from home, this individual will collaborate with different teams across the business, including work Motorway’s Brand, Social Media, CRM, SEO, Data and Product teams.

Requirements

  • A proven track record of executing PR campaigns and managing a busy press office.
  • Strong experience, either in house or at an agency, ideally at a tech company, online marketplace or e-commerce business growing at scale.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapting quickly and flexibly to change.
  • Ability to identify and refine creative ideas and concepts that translate to impactful media coverage.
  • Ability to create compelling press releases, media kits, and other communication materials to effectively communicate company news, product launches, and industry insights.
  • Understanding of the UK media landscape and how to build and maintain relationships with key journalists and influencers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Product, and Sales, to ensure consistent messaging across all channels.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activities to identify new PR opportunities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills. 
  • Strong media monitoring and evaluation. 
  • Efficient budget management.
