You are…

Motivated by driving PR strategies for some of the world’s leading sports media properties and eager to drive earned media efforts for Better Collective and our reputable sports media properties. We are seeking an individual who thrives in a busy and vibrant environment. You're energetic, proactive, and have a knack for spotting an interesting story. In this role, you will secure strong media exposure for Better Collective and some of our leading North American brands such as Action Network, VegasInsider, Playmaker HQ, Yardbarker, The Nation Network and SportsHandle, tracking and analyzing the performance, and ensuring our talent is continuously portrayed in the media. To be successful in this role, you should know how to pitch and frame stories in ways that catch the attention of journalists and generate earned media coverage and you should know how to turn input from colleagues and talent into news hooks and headlines.

Located in our New York office, you will be challenged to strengthen our positioning in the market, identify the interesting PR stories from across our North American organization and advise colleagues on PR and communications related matters. Ultimately, you will help us to realize Better Collective’s vision of becoming the leading digital sports media group. You will be driving the PR for some of our most important productions, including podcasts such as "The Big Pod" hosted by Shaquille O'Neil, “The OGs” with Udonis Haslem and Mike Miller and “Roommates Show” with Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart and “The Favorites Podcast”, just to name a few.


You will…

  • Develop materials for media and social media such as press releases, pitches, fact sheets, texts for LinkedIn, etc.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, influencers, and other relevant stakeholders

  • Serve as the primary point of contact in North America for media inquiries and coordinate media interviews, press releases, and other media opportunities

  • Monitor and measure all media coverage for our North American brands and use data, analytics and trends to identify coverage opportunities and potential risks

  • Collaborate with marketing, social media, and executive teams to align PR and comms with existing business objectives

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for PR agencies

  • Secure interviews and speaking opportunities for executives, business leaders and talent in media and at leading sports technology, iGaming, and media events

  • Manage and support company executives in interviews, speaking engagements and external communications

  • Represent the company at industry events
