As the Northern Europe PR and Communications Manager, you are part of a global team focused on best-in-class Marketing and Communications.
We are seeking a confident and energetic communications professional to drive the development and successful execution of the external and internal communications strategies and plans for Northern Europe.
The role will focus on proactive and reactive PR and communication for the region, to both strengthen and position the brand in Northern Europe, as well as support integrated marketing campaigns.
You will also support the corporate internal communications to drive employee engagement and to create understanding around company objectives and growth strategy, working closely with the regional Managing Director and Human Resources team.
Responsibilities External (PR/Media)
- Proactive management of regional PR agency to deliver to plan for the region – work closely with regional Marketing leader to ensure alignment with regional Marketing plan, ensuring they are informed of progress and can input as required and to ensure ROI.
- Establishing key spokespeople regionally and at country level, identifying gaps and training requirements
- Profiling the Managing Director and other subject matter experts with key media
- Developing media relations initiatives to raise the profile of the brand in the region, including profiles, by-line articles, interviews, roundtables, comment in reaction to external events (working with PR agency)
- Ensuring media relations and communication activities as part of integrated marketing-communications campaigns, activities and events to support specific lines of business
- Contribute to the thought leadership programme
- Identifying media and external profile opportunities in conjunction with external third parties, e.g., business organisations etc.
- Participating as a communication representative in regional crises and incidents
- Reporting on results for the region
- Regional level roll-out of the European thematic campaign for 2025.
Responsibilities Internal communication
- Develop and deliver a plan for Northern Europe that aligns to European internal comms objectives and plans, to include:
- Internal communications at Northern Europe regional level to inform, educate, engage and inspire team members around company strategy and business objectives/ key updates.
- Build internal profile of Leadership across the region.
- Ensure Northern Europe key news and updates are featured on the global intranet
- Partner with the Human Resources Team on major people initiatives, to support and guide them in their communications as needed.
- Establish clarity around internal comms channels (consistent use of MS Teams, Yammer and email – standalone and newsletters, digital screens for offices including content approach).
- Establish strategy for regional and country level townhalls. Project manage regional townhalls.
- Include internal comms metrics (as available) in monthly reporting to Managing Director and regional Leadership Team.
To be succesful in this role we believe you have:
- Education in PR / communication / marketing or equivalent work experience
- Broad experience of different types of communication work across, preferably in the Northern Europe region.
- Agency management.
- Speaks and writes Swedish and English fluently, additional Nordic languages a plus.
- Ability to build relationships on the ground in the Nordics, and within the European, global Communications and Marketing teams
- Excellent writing and communication skills and attention to detail.
- Team player with an ability to roll up your sleeves and oversee projects from start to finish.
