This role

As our PR, Comms, & Content Lead, UK, you’ll work with the Head of Marketing, UK and be instrumental in establishing Employment Hero as the leading voice on employment in the UK – helping us move from SaaS to Employment as a Service (EMPASS) and accelerating us toward our BHAG.

Your key focus areas will be:

• Establishing Employment Hero’s authority and fame in the UK through standout PR, communications, and content strategies
• Building a high-performing, data-led team that delivers measurable impact across PR, content, SEO, and media
• Driving alignment across global and local marketing to support UK GTM and brand goals
• Leveraging our proprietary data to shape public discourse and influence industry and government

This will include:

• Leading and mentoring a PR, Comms, and Content team to think big, act boldly, and deliver outcomes
• Creating and executing a UK-first strategy aligned with global PR, Comms & Content objectives
• Driving proactive media opportunities and building thought leadership for key spokespeople
• Using our first-party employment data to power original, insight-driven storytelling
• Overseeing content strategy across owned and earned channels (including newsroom collaboration) to support SEO, funnel progression, and reputation
• Reporting on performance, trends, and ROI to share progress and optimise efforts
• Owning execution and ensuring the team delivers against plans effectively and at pace

Who you are

To thrive at Employment Hero, you’ll need to embody The EH Way – operating with focus, agility, and an obsession with impact. For this role, you’ll also bring:

• 10+ years of experience in high-paced PR and Content roles, ideally in tech or fintech
• 4+ years leading high-performing teams in PR, Comms, or Content
• Proven track record in building media relationships and securing coverage in the UK
• Strong editorial instincts and exceptional communication skills – written and verbal
• Experience using first-party data to drive media stories and build brand authority
• A strategic thinker with excellent organisational and analytical skills
• Familiarity with using AI tools to scale content production and efficiency
• A clear understanding of how PR contributes to SEO through content and backlinks
