At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for a PostgreSQL architect to join our UniQue Luxmebourg team!
What will you be bringing to the team?
- Critical analysis of the existing architecture design and Postgres landscape: evaluate the current architecture and point out areas for improvement where applicable
- Migration Postgres to Oracle: we're planning to migrate away from Oracle to Postgres in the near future, where this is possible. In this context, the expert should be able to propose a migration strategy adapted to our current ecosystem, including recommendations how to potentially adapt the current Postgres design to be suitable for accommodating the additional workloads and data (e.g. scalability, maintainability, etc.).
- Help in sizing transformation programs
- Contributing to setting the strategic direction for the Technology Architecture practice
- Advise on technologies & tools selection
Requirements
What do you need to succeed in this position?
- Master's level university degree and minimum 8 years of experience in IT
- 4 years of professional expereince with PostgreSQL database and PL/SQL
- Architectural knowledge of PostgreSQL based systems
- Strong knowledge of database design principles, data modeling, and SQL.
- Prior experience in migration from Oracle to PostgreSQL and the definition of a migration strategy
- Experience in automation (e.g. via Ansible or Cloud templates), and in particular with the automation of typical DBA tasks
- Fluent in both English/French, written and oral.
