To help continue our rapid growth and solve our clients’ toughest problems, we need an experienced and proven Portfolio Leader to join the team. As a Portfolio Leader, you will be responsible for leading the successful execution of the project, driving value-add outcomes and doing whatever it takes to deliver success. This will include creation of project plans, review of documentation, interactions, and deliverables, and creating ongoing project status and health reports. It will also include working with key stakeholders (internal and external) to set the vision, strategy, and goals of the project. Finally, it will include leading a team of functional and technical people in achieving these goals.
Consider your day-to-day responsibilities in this role:
- Own the overall delivery of the project(s) to which you are assigned, making sure all aspects are in place and working effectively to deliver value.
- Continuously set the mission, vision, and plan for the project, assuring that the client’s best interests are always reflected in the work the team is doing and the direction they are headed.
- Enhance, maintain, and progressively update a highly complex project schedule, accounting for task durations, interdependencies, project milestones, and defined deliverable review cycles.
- Manage agile project delivery through the use of modern tools like Jira, Confluence, Miro, Smartsheets, DevOps, etc.
- Monitor and manage fixed-fee and time and materials project budgets and track key financial metrics throughout the lifecycle of your project to avoid invoice write-offs.
- Leverage your experience to anticipate risks and lead diverse teams of Resultant employees, client employees, and third-party employees to a successful project outcome.
- Communicate and collaborate closely with teammates, clients, and stakeholders to keep the project on track and help everyone stay aligned to the mission.
- Drive and manage change, both technical and functional, related to the project.
- Mediate complex technical and business discussions with clients and vendors.
- Manage and mitigate risk wherever possible; including, but not limited to, detailed understanding of client and Resultant responsibilities as outlined in relevant contractual agreements.
- Create, update, and track project plans and related documentation/tools to aid the team in being successful and to help in communicating with stakeholders.
- Support existing client extension and expansion through world-class delivery.
- Ensure compliance with Resultant core business processes.

- Demonstrated ability to lead, problem solve and deliver results on large complex multi-disciplinary programs across industries and sectors on-time, on-budget, and on-quality.
- Experience managing complex technology and/or data development projects, clients, partners, and organizations.
- Proven track record of establishing strong, executive level client relationships.
- Demonstrated mastery of finance & accounting literacy – deep expertise in utilizing budget and sales goals to make informed decisions.
- Demonstrated mastery of project lifecycle awareness – understanding each stage of a project, which tasks need to be completed in each stage, and the ability to articulate the process to others.
- Demonstrated mastery of emotional intelligence – ability to understand, use, and manage your own emotions and the emotions of others.
- Demonstrated mastery of decision making & delegation – assessing the best path from multiple possibilities and assigning the workload appropriately and to the best resource.
- Demonstrated mastery of business relationships – understanding the strategic link(s) between client and other departments that foster negotiations and opportunities for organic growth.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience actively contributing to both technical and functional project artifacts.
- Must be detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, including executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
- Experience with the development and management of complex contractual agreements
- Willingness to learn, strong initiative, ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and flexibility with regard to the assignment of tasks and scheduling essential.
- Bachelor’s Degree required, Master's Degree preferred.
- Prior public sector experience preferred.
- Project management certification(s) preferred (e.g. Agile, PMP, CSM).
- Prior consulting experience preferred.
- Desired 15+ years of experience leading technology projects of various size, through the full project life cycle (PLC) -- including detailed system/software development life cycle (SDLC) -- across multiple clients, and with multiple teams, vendors, interfaces, and stakeholders involved.
