Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced PMC Structural Engineer to support the structural engineering aspects of a major Oil & Gas pipeline construction project in Abu Dhabi. The Structural Engineer will be responsible for designing, reviewing, and ensuring the quality of structural components and systems while ensuring compliance with project specifications and international standards. This role requires close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, efficient, and compliant engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and review structural systems, components, and assemblies for the project, ensuring compliance with project requirements and international standards.
- Prepare and review structural calculations, specifications, and drawings to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of structural designs into overall project plans.
- Provide technical input and solutions for structural challenges encountered during the design and construction phases.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to verify that structural construction aligns with approved designs and specifications.
- Monitor contractor performance to ensure adherence to structural standards, specifications, and project timelines.
- Support the resolution of technical queries (TQ) and incorporate approved changes into structural designs.
- Assist in the preparation of structural engineering reports, progress updates, and documentation for project stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards in all structural engineering activities.
- Stay updated on advancements in structural engineering techniques and materials, applying them to project activities as appropriate.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or a related field.

Experience:
- 7-10 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on Oil & Gas or pipeline construction projects.
- Experience in a PMC environment is preferred.

Skills:
- Proficiency in structural design software (e.g., STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, AutoCAD).
- Strong knowledge of international structural engineering codes and standards (e.g., ACI, ASCE, Eurocodes, BS).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a dynamic project environment.
