Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced PMC Piping Engineer to support piping engineering activities for a high-profile Oil & Gas pipeline construction project in Abu Dhabi. The Piping Engineer will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and ensuring the quality of piping designs, drawings, and documentation. This role requires technical expertise and close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, efficient, and compliant engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review piping designs, layouts, isometric drawings, material specifications, and stress analysis reports.
- Perform piping stress analysis to ensure designs comply with project requirements and applicable codes (e.g., ASME B31.3, B31.4).
- Support the selection and specification of piping materials, ensuring suitability for project needs.
- Assist in resolving technical queries (TQ) and incorporate approved changes into piping designs.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of piping systems into the overall project design.
- Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance to ensure compliance with project specifications and timelines.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to verify piping installations align with approved designs and safety standards.
- Prepare piping engineering reports, documentation, and progress updates for stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards in all piping engineering activities.
- Stay updated on advancements in piping technologies and best practices to enhance project delivery.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Piping Engineering or a related field.

Experience:
- 7-10 years of experience in piping engineering, with a focus on Oil & Gas or pipeline construction projects.
- Experience in a PMC environment is preferred.

Skills:
- Proficiency in piping design and analysis software (e.g., AutoPIPE, CAESAR II, AutoCAD Plant 3D).
- Strong knowledge of international codes and standards related to piping design and construction (e.g., ASME, API, ISO).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a dynamic project environment.
