Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Specialist to support the human resource functions for a major Oil & Gas pipeline construction project in Abu Dhabi. The HR Specialist will play a key role in managing HR operations, ensuring compliance with local labor laws, and fostering a positive work environment. This role involves supporting recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management processes within a PMC (Project Management Consultancy) framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support end-to-end recruitment processes, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding of project personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE labor laws, company policies, and project-specific requirements.
  • Coordinate and manage employee records, contracts, and HR documentation.
  • Facilitate employee onboarding and orientation programs to ensure smooth integration into the project.
  • Handle employee relations issues and provide support to address grievances and conflicts.
  • Monitor and manage employee attendance, leave, and timesheets in collaboration with project management teams.
  • Assist in implementing HR policies and procedures aligned with corporate and project needs.
  • Support performance management processes, including goal setting, evaluations, and feedback.
  • Coordinate training and development programs to enhance employee skills and project performance.
  • Maintain HR metrics and reports, providing insights to the management team.
  • Liaise with payroll and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of salaries and benefits.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 5-8 years of HR experience, with a focus on large-scale projects in the Oil & Gas or construction industry.
    • Previous experience in a PMC environment is a strong advantage.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of UAE labor laws and HR best practices.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Proficient in HR systems and tools, with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, fast-paced environment.
    • Problem-solving skills with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
