Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented PMC Electrical Engineer to support the electrical engineering activities for a high-profile Oil & Gas pipeline construction project in Abu Dhabi. The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and ensuring the quality of electrical designs, calculations, and installations. This role requires technical expertise and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver compliant and efficient engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review electrical designs, calculations, specifications, and drawings for high and low-voltage systems.
- Assist in the selection and specification of electrical equipment to meet project requirements and operational needs.
- Perform power system studies and analysis, including load flow, short circuit, and voltage drop calculations.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure integration of electrical systems into the overall project design.
- Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance during installation and commissioning to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards.
- Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) for electrical systems and equipment.
- Address technical queries (TQ) and ensure approved changes are incorporated into electrical designs.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to verify electrical installations align with approved designs and safety standards.
- Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and documentation for project stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards in all electrical engineering activities.
- Stay updated on advancements in electrical technologies and best practices to enhance project delivery.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Experience:
- 7-10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on Oil & Gas or pipeline construction projects.
- Experience in a PMC environment is preferred.

Skills:
- Proficiency in electrical design and analysis tools (e.g., ETAP, AutoCAD Electrical).
- Strong knowledge of international electrical standards and codes (e.g., IEC, NEC, IEEE).
- Familiarity with high-voltage and low-voltage power systems and equipment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a dynamic project environment.
