Assists retail food operations by providing exceptional customer service and processing customer sales through our POS systems.
This is a part time, benefits eligible, hourly position with a hiring range of $18.19-$22.28 per hour. The schedule for this position is:
- Friday 3:30pm - 12:30am
- Saturday & Sunday 11:45am - 12:30am
Shift and weekend differential is also available for eligible hours:
- 6pm - 12 am an additional $1.50 per hour
- 12am - 7am an additional $3.00 per hour
- Weekends an additional $1.00 per hour
Core Responsibilities:
- Accurately process food and beverage sales using cash registers, scanners, or wireless equipment.
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout our campus locations
- Work closely with student cashiers throughout the academic year. This will require training others on our POS machines and enforcing all cashier policies and procedures
- Assists in food production work including food prep and grab and go production. This will require proper use of kitchen equipment.
- Ensure the highest standards in sanitary FOH procedures, condiment, coffee stations, tables, floors and trash storage are clean and always maintained.
- Always Cleaning work areas, including counters, floors, dishes, and related equipment and ensures they are in proper sanitary condition.
- Observe proper food storage and handling procedures to ensure a safe and sanitary work environment.
- Ensure that food and beverages are properly and safely served. Some locations will require Serve safe certification and a VT DLC license
Requirements
- Knowledge of point of sale and cash handling helpful but no previous experience is necessary.
- Works cooperatively with others and accepts direction from supervisors with effective time management skills
- Have good communication skills; and the ability to follow instructions and procedures and participate in a team environment.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
Must be able to stand for up to 4 hours continuously, as well as frequent bending and overhead reaching with twisting motions. Must be able to lift 10-20# numerous times during the day and up to 50lbs several times each day, must be able to push and pull up to 70lbs frequently. Repetitive use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation.
