General Description:
Maintain, repair, troubleshoot and install plumbing systems. Operate and maintain sanitary waste treatment systems, Process water treatment systems, Process water systems, Process vacuum, chilled water systems, humidification, water pumps, spray heads, condenser water systems, filtration maintenance, de-ionized water systems, and Process gas systems (Liquid Nitrogen, Gaseous Nitrogen, Argon, Helium, Hydrogen, etc.) Following code compliance on repairs/installs.
Essential Duties:
Work under Plumber Maintenance, Senior to maintain, repair, calibrate, troubleshoot Plumbing systems including equipment related to pumps, motors, valves, chillers, cooling towers, air handlers, air compressors, vacuum pumps, water filtration, Koi pond and bubbler pond maintenance, . Operate and maintain process water treatment in HVAC related piping. Performs maintenance and repair of major plumbing system breakdowns such as clogged drains, sinks, toilets, and lift station stoppages. Emergency repairs of Process piping systems.
Required Skills:
Journey level with a minimum of 7- years related experience. Operation and repair of sanitary plumbing, potable water systems, DI water systems, RO water systems, and systems related to compressed air, gases, steam, cryogenics, industrial water, irrigation, wet scrubbers, water heaters, and grease traps. Works from blueprints, cut sheets, sketches, manuals, Uniform Plumbing Code, and local ordinances. Uses equipment such as threading machines, camera/ locators, torch cutting, brazing, pipe sweating, snake machines
Data/spreadsheet tracking of equipment & parts, familiarity of CMMS (computer maintenance management systems). Clean room and laboratory environment plumbing requirements. Industrial safety practices. Water treatment and chemical balancing for processed cooling water (PCW) systems and a Backflow Tester certification is preferred.
Required Education:
High School Diploma, Plumber Certification, Backflow Tester, Water Treatment, and/or other related certifications or training. Candidate who has completed a formalized Plumber apprenticeship program is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Job requires ascending/descending ladders & stairs, bending, squatting, stooping, twisting, carrying, and lifting up to 50 pounds and other essential motor skills. Working in confined spaces. Desire to learn new skills. Ability to work in a team environment.
Special Requirements:
Valid Driver’s license, Section 608 certification as required by (40 CFR part 82, subpart F), under the EPA Clean Air Act requirements
Must be available to work swing or second shift, weekends, and holidays when required.
Compensation:
The pay range for this position is $38.21 - $44.85 per hour + bonus + benefits.
