THE POSITION:

PLT PI Construction Manager

Industrialize new products and new technology into production. Ensure close working interface as business partner between plant and R&D.  Provide technical support by triggering the necessary industrialization activities and business improvement measures. Manage introduction, development and maintenance of specifications.

  1. Drive process to translate R&D requirements into tangible impacts on the plant ( in terms of invest, capacity, and capability)
  2. Ensure timeliness and adherence to product design, release and performance requirements of Corporate Development and factory.
  3. Manages of industrializes new and existing products, processes and materials into production which are optimized for process capabilities, cost, minimize rework and comply with the established Release Notice Procedure, Cured Tire Dimensions, and QMD Standards.
  4. Monitors and initiates corrective actions required to maintain tire QM wheel, field performance and adjustments levels which exceed or meet the established Corporate goals.
  5. Ensures Experimental Tire Order (ETO) reports and business plans are issued and initiated for the development and industrialization of all new and experimental materials, products and processes.
  6. Reviews ETO programs and Engineer to follow on R&D programs (Transfer, new development OE TA, RE) and ensure compliance with internal guidelines and initiate/drives actions, discussion with R&D.
  7. Check and balance process to review of new tires releases and product enhancement to ensure compliance with guidelines (complexity, standardization, cost impact)
  8. Prepares weekly/monthly KPI’s to monitor and track the PI group performance and goal attainment.
  9. Reviews weekly SOP with R&D, Global Sourcing, and Plant operation order to ensure timely availability of tire specifications.
  10. Initiates and supports PIP programs for quality, material, construction and Corporate areas.
  11. Administer and maintain adherence to company policies.
  12. Maintains a close and positive working relationship with Corporate areas and other plants’ staff to obtain goals and objectives.
  13. Develops career development and succession plans for PI department personnel.
  14. Act as advisor, consultant, and coach for all colleagues.
  15. Ensure all ESH procedures, policies and legal requirements are implemented and monitored.

Basic Qualifications: 

Bachelors Degree in Technical Field or Mechanical Engineering

2-5 years experience in Product Industrialization
