This position will work closely with The New Ventures, Material Innovation, and Plating Process Engineering Groups to onboard new plating/coating technology./span/divdiv style="margin-bottom: 7.5pt;line-height: 17.0pt;"bspan style="font-size: 10.0pt;font-family: Arial , sans-serif;"Essential Functions/ Responsibilities./span/b/divol style="margin-top: 0.0px;"lispan style="font-family: Arial , sans-serif;"Design and execute experiments related to novel materials and manufacturing processes in electrochemical deposition./span/lilispan style="font-family: Arial , sans-serif;"Characterize deposited microstructures and coordinate internal/external analytical laboratory projects and efforts. /span/lilispan style="font-family: Arial , sans-serif;"Execute laboratory projects for the Materials Innovations Group and the Plating Process Engineering Teams. /span/lilispan style="font-family: Arial , sans-serif;"Support the research, development and implementation of new materials/technologies and the troubleshooting of plating quality issues./span/lilispan style="font-family: Arial , sans-serif;"Work with chemical and equipment suppliers to introduce new plating processes and analysis methods./span/lilispan style="font-family: Arial , sans-serif;"Integrate/transition novel plating technologies into Samtec’s production processes and products./span/lilispan style="font-family: Arial , sans-serif;"Facilitate new plating technologies through product testing and production processes qualifications./span/lilispan style="font-family: Arial , sans-serif;"Maintain lab procedure documents, ensuring they are updated, meeting all requirements for safety and environmental standards./span/lilispan style="font-family: Arial , sans-serif;"The responsibilities as defined are intended to serve as a general guideline for this position.
