Internships are open for the bring-up and testing of brand-new hardware at a fast-moving startup.
This is a fantastic opportunity to get your hands dirty on real hardware and silicon at the most exciting time possible – first power-on!
Responsibilities
You will participate in the following:
Assembly and bring-up of new platform hardware and silicon
Cross-functional debug of hardware, silicon, firmware, and software (although it would be nice if everything just worked on the first try)
Creation and execution of automated and semi-automated tests
Requirements
We are looking for motivated engineers who are interested in taking their coursework and experience in digital systems, circuitry, firmware, and scripting and applying it to massively complex systems.
Coursework in FPGA RTL design
Coursework in operating systems or embedded software engineering
Coursework in circuit theory and ability to grok schematics and PCB layouts
Experience with Python
Excellent skills in problem solving, written and verbal communication, excellent organization skills, and highly self-motivated.
Ability to work well in a team and be productive under aggressive schedules.
Desire to learn new skills and attack novel problems.
Available June through August
Education and Experience
Working towards a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
Experience with the hands-on debugging of a hardware project is a huge plus
