Platform Hardware Bring-up and Testing Intern

Internships are open for the bring-up and testing of brand-new hardware at a fast-moving startup. This is a fantastic opportunity to get your hands dirty on real hardware and silicon at the most exciting time possible – first power-on! Responsibilities
  • You will participate in the following:
  • Assembly and bring-up of new platform hardware and silicon
  • Cross-functional debug of hardware, silicon, firmware, and software (although it would be nice if everything just worked on the first try)
  • Creation and execution of automated and semi-automated tests
  • Requirements
  • We are looking for motivated engineers who are interested in taking their coursework and experience in digital systems, circuitry, firmware, and scripting and applying it to massively complex systems.
  • Coursework in FPGA RTL design
  • Coursework in operating systems or embedded software engineering
  • Coursework in circuit theory and ability to grok schematics and PCB layouts
  • Experience with Python
  • Excellent skills in problem solving, written and verbal communication, excellent organization skills, and highly self-motivated.
  • Ability to work well in a team and be productive under aggressive schedules.
  • Desire to learn new skills and attack novel problems.
  • Available June through August
  • Education and Experience
  • Working towards a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
  • Experience with the hands-on debugging of a hardware project is a huge plus
  • A Startup in Stealth Mode!
