We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our core platform team (DevSecOps), to help drive the development of scalable and robust systems using cutting-edge technologies and methodologies.
As a Platform Engineer, your responsibilities will include producing useful, economical, and best-of-breed solutions that can be picked up by development teams and DevOps engineers across the company.

Specifically, you can expect to:
First and foremost, build and scale the deployment architecture that powers Genius Sports products as we continue to grow.
Implement cloud native solutions with infrastructure as code tooling.
Write code towards automation tooling and supporting DevOps deployment software.
Design and implement robust telemetry for all of the services Genius Sports operates.
Collaborate with engineers on other teams to promote DevOps best practices.
AWS, Kubernetes and Software Development experience:
Automation of repetitive tasks using scripting languages (Bash, Python, NodeJs, Powershell, etc.)
Practical knowledge of at least one programming language (C++, C#, Java, JS, Kotlin, Python, PHP, Golang)
Technical expertise in networking, data structures, and cloud native technologies.
Expert-level knowledge of at least one infrastructure-as-code language (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
Detailed knowledge of building observable systems and understanding the fundamentals of cohesive dashboard design.
Detailed knowledge of build systems and building containerized applications.
Understanding of continuous delivery principles, including feature-switching, canary releases, and CI/CD pipelines.
Understanding of core security principles and their application in continuous delivery systems.
Flexibility to work on all areas of the service stack, including front-end, back-end, and infrastructure.
Familiarity with messaging and asynchronous communication technologies
Willingness to learn and explore new technologies.
Ability to execute on the DevOps/cloud engineering vision.
Technical expertise in networking, data structures, and cloud native technologies.
Technical writing skills.
