Plant Operations Manager

Our client is looking for a skilled and motivated Plant Operations Manager to spearhead the establishment of a new manufacturing facility in Dongguan. This role offers a rare chance to manage the transition of operations from Shenzhen while overseeing the development of a cutting-edge plant from its inception.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as the primary liaison with local government bodies.
  • Ensuring a safe workplace while adhering to all legal standards.
  • Guiding the construction and installation phases to meet critical project deadlines.
  • Handling the profit and loss statement and implementing the yearly budget, including capital investments.
  • Driving daily facility operations with a focus on production efficiency, quality standards, and prompt delivery.
  • Building and nurturing a capable team of managers and supervisors.
  • Fostering strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction.

Location: Dongguan

Requirements

  • Fluency in both English and Mandarin, written and spoken.
  • Extensive experience managing manufacturing operations or serving as a plant manager.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a comparable technical field.
  • Previous involvement in establishing or relocating a factory within China.
  • Thorough understanding of safety, quality, productivity, inventory management, and operational stewardship.
  • Strong grasp of business principles such as budgeting, cost management, planning, and key performance indicators.
  • Excellent skills in interpersonal communication.
  • Familiarity with multinational corporate environments.
  • Knowledge of local regulations governing plant operations.
