PLANT MANAGER (Greeley)
Position Overview
This position will be responsible for all operational performance metrics on the respective shift at the JBS-Greeley beef facility. This position will have direct oversight of the harvest, cooler/grading, and fabrication departments on the assigned shift. This position will also have collaborative responsibility over the other ancillary departments: Safety/Health Services, Human Resources, Maintenance, Boiler & Refrigeration, Shipping, Rendering, Water Reclamation, and Technical Services. This position will be accountable to the General Manager of the facility.
Position Responsibilities
- Direct management and supervisors with respect to employee safety, food safety, regulatory compliance, employee engagement, product quality, customer service, production volume, plant cost, and revenue streams
- Ensure adherence to procedures that promote the health and welfare of all
- Analyze performance metrics on a daily basis. Meet with appropriate personnel to determine causes of non-performing metrics and apply corrective measures
- Arrange to have appropriate production records prepared and maintained
- Maintain good employee relations and adherence to labor contract provisions; take proper and judicious disciplinary measures when required.
- Collaborate with corporate and plant scheduling team to ensure customer requirements are met continually
- Schedule and attend appropriate meetings and ensure 100% attendance to weekly safety committee meeting on respective shift
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Must have extensive knowledge of beef plant operations and industry
- Previous management experience in meat/beef processing industry is preferred
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong multi-tasking skills are essential
- Knowledge and technical skills in several production jobs is highly desired
- Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel
- Strong communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills
- Understand and comply with company policy and procedures
- Experience with data analysis methods
- Ability to learn data management systems in the facility
- Strong work ethic and solid availability
- Must be an owner of the business, a self-starter ,and results-oriented
Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:
- Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
- Paid Time off: sick leave, vacation and 6 company observed holidays;
- 401(k): eligible after the 1st day of employment including company match which begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule
- Base salary range of $118,000 - $144,000
- This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan; the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;
