The Role

We are looking for an experienced Planning Manager to join the account team on EasyJet, one of the agencies largest clients. In this role you will act as a key member of the UK and WW (international) hub team, representing both UK and international market interests. You will be a trusted voice at the agency to represent and deliver our work. You will work collaboratively across all disciplines and support in the day-to-day management of the account, reporting, delivery of plan and executional excellence.

 

70% of the role will be dedicated to the local UK planning team. You will both lead and support on end-to-end cross-channel media recommendations, ensuring work is fuelled by insights/data and tells a clear story. The role requires an experienced media planner with a solid foundational knowledge of traditional and digital media planning and execution.

 

30% of the role will be focussed on supporting the WW account team, contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of the account. You’ll be helping to deliver WW planning and market coordination with our WW Strategy and Audience Planning teams across all easyJet workstreams.

We want an enthusiastic and passionate individual who will build positive and strong relationships with a wide and multi-disciplinary team, so exceptional communication and organisational skills is a must.

They also happen to be one of our most recent wins across EMEA, plus they have recently introduced a Holidays package offering which is super exciting and profitable.

We work with easyJet across 7 EMEA markets with local teams on the ground in each country, core markets are the UK, France and Italy.

 

Key Responsibilities

        Supports UK Planning Director on medium to large RTBs whilst effectively managing small to medium RTBs with support from AE and wider team.

        Supports WW account team on market co-ordination and planning plus the local agency account teams.

        Runs internal status meetings, owns project trackers, and ensures accuracy of spend reporting and annual plans.

        Builds strong relationship with investment teams and effectively manages workload (alongside AD) in and out of internal teams.

        Be a champion of the network; forming strong relationships with all markets; surfacing and sharing the greatest work and raising the floor within markets.

        Oversees implementation and delivery of local media activation.

        Co-ordinates reporting requirements, quality controlling output and presenting to clients with actionable insights on an ongoing basis.

        Leads local campaign evaluations (PCAs) with support of Planning Exec / investment teams.

        Be comfortable presenting work and ideas to both clients, external agency partners, and internally.

        Builds key relationships with clients, agency partners, and media owners.

        Supports AE in managing financial aspects of account (billings, reconciliations, accruals, finance queries).

        Identifies and pro-actively resolves planning issues with the team leadership.

        Supports AD and team leadership on key media updates (landscape, trends, research, media owner updates).

        Build a deep understanding of the brand’s vertical, competition and their business, in multiple markets, to understand the challenges and opportunities they face.

        Champions GroupM proprietary services, and agency capabilities.

        Supports integrated WoW across media & creative adopting ‘The Power of & ‘mindset.

        Supports the use of agency tools and process across the team (e.g., Flow Planning, Architect, &OS, &AI, MAP)

        Coach, support, and develop the Planning Executive, with regular 1-2-1’s.

        Raise the profile of the account in the agency by producing, submitting, and publicly talking about our work.

 

Skills and Experience

        You are someone who both champions and challenges – themselves, their team, and their clients.

        A self-starter who demonstrates curiosity and works well in a fast-paced environment.

        High attention to detail with a drive to make sure the collective output is an excellent standard.

        Strong client management skills to manage both junior and senior clients, with gravitas.

        Proven track record of delivering strong comms planning outputs - with measurement at the forefront - to deliver against core objectives of a campaign.

        Strong presentation skills – both in creating / guiding content, and delivery

        An in-depth knowledge and application of core media tools

        Experienced in running all aspects of a media plan – from initial brief to PCA.

        You are a good listener and able to collaborate with a wide cross section of people.

        You have a solid history of working across a range of projects, demonstrating your ability to be flexible and manage multiple workstreams at once.

        You exude the behaviours of the agency – we challenge and champion each other and our clients, to be the very best we can be.
