In this position, you will analyze human driving behaviors and gather subjective feedback shared by riders of our purpose-built robot. You will relate those characteristics to the architecture and tuning of the autonomous driving stack. Finally, you will have the opportunity to test your recommended changes in simulation and on a real vehicle to demonstrate how to improve our riders’ comfort as it relates to vehicle motion.
Technical Qualifications & Language Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Master’s or PhD engineering program in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar
- Coursework or extracurricular project experience in the field of robotics. Examples include motion planning/control for automobiles, drones, or other physical systems
- Experience with data analysis and C++ programming
- Bonus qualification: experience with software development
Compensation
The monthly salary range for this position is $6,500 to $9,500. Compensation will vary based on role, degree level and type, and benefits will be offered based on eligibility. Additional benefits may include medical insurance, 401k, and a housing stipend.
