Pharmacy Technician - Outpatient

 

Schedule: Monday to Friday full-time days (could be some evenings or weekends)

We’re looking for you.

Pharmacy Technicians at LMH Health support pharmacists with the timely, accurate preparation and distribution of medications while meeting regulatory requirements and providing high quality customer service. Technicians eligible for promotion must demonstrate the ability to collaborate and problem solve with all members of the pharmacy team. 

Core Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacist with a variety of duties to ensure the health and safety of our patients [i.e. answering phones, data entry].
  • Maintain inventory according to system procedures.
  • Ensure accurate and timely delivery of medications.
  • Prepare, package, or store medications per manufacturer regulations.
  • Follow all regulatory and institutional standards and laws.
  • May include paperwork for medications.
  • Other tasks as needed at the discretion of the pharmacist on duty.

HSP (Community Pharmacy)

  • All core responsibilities.
  • Data entry, financial transactions, and recordkeeping.
  • Accurate and efficient workflow management to include filling and labeling.
  • Meds to beds enrollment and delivery.

Inpatient (Acute Care Pharmacy)

  • All core responsibilities.
  • Preparation of sterile intravenous compounds and maintain clean room according to regulatory requirements.
  • Area inspections and outdates.

Prior Authorization & Medication Assistance (Ambulatory Care Pharmacy)

  • All core responsibilities.
  • Data entry and recordkeeping.
  • Managing medication requests or authorizations.
  • Communication with multiple insurance or manufacturer programs.

 

Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Pharmacy Technician Registration with Kansas Board of Pharmacy.
  • Plan to complete national certification as set forth in the Kansas Board of Pharmacy regulations.

Preferred:

  • Prior Pharmacy Tech experience.
  • Pharmacy Tech certification.
