Pest Control Technician | Thames/Paeroa/Te Aroha

You will be the first line of defense in the fight against pests, using your expertise to solve customer problems and provide top-notch service. Location: Hamilton branch, servicing clients in Thames, Coromandel, Whitianga, Paeroa and Te Aroha areas.

Working Hours: Full-time, with potential weekend work, overnight stays, and occasionally stay away from home.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct inspections of customer premises to identify signs of pest infestations.
• Implement effective pest control measures and advise customers on prevention techniques.
• Maintain accurate records of services provided and follow up as needed.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.

Requirements:

• Full NZ driving licence with a clean record, and the ability to drive a manual vehicle is preferable.  
• Physically fit and capable of following health and safety guidelines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Adaptable to varying hours and overtime work.
• Willingness to drive long distances and stay away from home if required.
• The ability to shoot and a gun licence is preferable.
• Prior experience in pest control is advantageous but optional; training will be provided.

Please note that the successful candidate may need to undergo a pre-employment assessment, which includes a medical check and drug test; a criminal background check conducted by the Ministry of Justice, and verification of references. The results must meet Rentokil Initial's satisfactory criteria.
