Periodic Review (Associate) Manager

About the role:

  • Team Leadership: Manage and lead the KYC Periodic Review team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality and timely completion of reviews.
  • Process Management: Oversee the end-to-end periodic review process, ensuring that all KYC records are accurate, complete, and compliant with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Risk Assessment: Monitor and evaluate client risk levels, ensuring that high-risk clients are identified, escalated, and managed appropriately.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated with changes in KYC, AML, and CDD regulations, ensuring that the team’s processes are aligned with current standards and that regulatory requirements are met.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure the accuracy and consistency of KYC reviews and documentation.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including the legal, compliance, and onboarding teams, to address compliance issues and ensure a seamless client experience.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports on the status of periodic reviews, highlighting any risks, compliance issues, or operational challenges.
  • Policy Development: Contribute to the development and enhancement of KYC policies and procedures, ensuring they are robust and aligned with regulatory expectations.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and assess the performance of the KYC Periodic Review team, setting clear objectives and KPIs, and conducting regular performance reviews.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the KYC review process.

Minimum qualifications: 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, law, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certification (e.g., CAMS, CFE) is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in KYC, AML, or a related compliance field, with at least 1 year in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of KYC, AML, and CDD regulations and best practices.
  • Skills: Excellent project management skills, including planning, organizing, and managing resources. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.

Preferred qualifications: 

  • Experience with AML systems and software.
  • Previous experience in a financial institution or regulatory body.
  • Knowledge of global AML regulations and trends.
