The People Strategy and Enablement CoE (Centre of Expertise) is responsible for people strategy and leading the associated portfolio of People & Culture (P&C) priorities. Within this, the team has ownership for strategic projects that enable evolution of the business and the P&C function. The team remit also includes employee relations, governance and varied operational activities that support the P&C function to run effectively and efficiently.
The People Projects Lead will be responsible for designing, managing and implementing high-impact projects that support SEEK’s corporate strategy and continued growth. The successful applicant will be a strategic problem solver with exceptional project management and communication skills. They will have a generalist HR skills that allows them to successfully deliver diverse people projects; complemented by specific experience in mergers and acquisitions.
Key responsibilities
- Lead agreed programs of work, partnering with diverse customers and cross-functional teams
- Lead projects end to end, from problem definition, scoping and planning through to implementation and embedding
- Be the P&C point of contact and in-house authority for people-related aspects of mergers and acquisitions
- Lead problem solving and solution design, with a focus on what is fit-for-purpose for SEEK; includes the conducting research and external market scans as required
- Engage with and lead vendors where external expertise is required to support a project
- Implement the detailed, day-to-day work involved in project delivery, demonstrating a preparedness to ‘roll up the sleeves’ and be ‘on the tools’
- Prepare succinct and clear communications materials, to inform team members, drive alignment and facilitate decision-making.
- Experience in leading people-related programs of work; preferably in a consulting environment or global company
- Demonstrated experience managing people related aspects of acquisitions, including due diligence, integration planning and execution, and ensuring compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations
- Expertise in HR governance and experience in establishing foundational building blocks
- Project and program management expertise, including effective stakeholder engagement and tenacity to overcome obstacles
- Excellent strategic, analytical and problem-solving skills and experience
- Ability to bring structure where there is ambiguity, as well as comfort in navigating ambiguity
- Strong attention to detail and planning capability, with ability to manage competing priorities and coordinate a variety of stakeholders and deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, including demonstrated experience in managing and collaborating with cross functional teams
