Here at Gousto we have an exciting opportunity in the form of a People Partner based at our London office. Reporting into the Head of People Partnering & ER, you will play a pivotal role partnering with our Head of Departments across Commercial, Tech and Business functions. 

To be successful in this role, you will have started partnering teams or functions or are ready to do so as your next move. Being naturally curious, collaborative and pragmatic with a strong background in applying employment law to help problem solve. This will be a generalist role which requires lots of stakeholder management, building people plans and delivering impactful solutions. This role is suitable for someone who is driven and who wants to build their Partnering career. 

Core Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor to Heads of Departments across Commercial, Business and Technology functions
  • Working across our Centres of Excellence, partner stakeholders in addressing employee relations, engagement and performance 
  • Confident and experienced in organisational design and change management, leading restructures and reorganisations
  • Support key People Team activities such as performance reviews, pay reviews, benchmarking and Talent Reviews
  • Working across the People Team identify solutions to support people plans and feedback to Head of Partnering for prioritisation
  • Using people data, internal/external trends and reports to provide stakeholders with insight to inform business decisions and targeted initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with UK employment laws and regulations, 
  • Collaborate with our Community groups and support our inclusion agenda and building on our already fantastic Gousto culture
  • Coaching managers at Head Of Level to build line management capability and effectively manage their teams
  • Partner with key stakeholders to support talent identification, succession planning and generate action plans
  • Provide guidance and challenge line managers to drive best practice with our policies and procedures, absence management and performance management
  • Support organisational design and development, with a lens on building career pathways to open up opportunities in the team and help colleagues take greater control of their careers
  • Coach managers on the reward principles and ensuring pay is fair, consistent and in line with budget  

Who You Are

  • Ideally CIPD certified (L5+), or have relevant experience
  • Demonstrable knowledge of UK employment law and application of pragmatic and commercial people solutions
  • Experienced with organisation design and how it can be used for career pathways, identifying future skills and capabilities and ensuring job design reflects a broader spectrum than skills and tasks but encompasses competencies and behaviours
  • Can demonstrate strategic thinking with emphasis on delivering operationally, able to translate commercial goals into HR deliverables
  • Robust, resilient, diplomatic and comfortable with ambiguity, with the confidence to deal with demanding and senior leaders
  • Strong influencing skills – sell conceptually, challenge assertively whilst maintaining constructive interpersonal impact. 
  • Able to motivate others, drive change and deliver results through others.
  • Excellent coaching skills.
  • Ability to understand functional strategies and goals and define HR solutions which support the achievement of them.
  • Highly collaborative and a real team player and is fun to work with
  • Demonstrable project and stakeholder management skills and experience
  • Data led and able to work with complex metrics to drive improvements and communicate key messages concisely
