People Operations Specialist

The People Operations team is responsible for the entire lifecycle of the employee journey at Preply, including onboarding and offboarding compliance, total rewards and benefits, HR systems and analytics as well as key HR projects such as employee engagement, career development and frameworks and others. 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Full ownership of data processing of all People input such as new joiners, data changes, leavers and absence management (such as parental, maternity and other leaves) onto relevant People systems, ensuring 100% accuracy for payroll processing. (Big Plus if you have experience with Personio)
  • Management of people operations Inbox, tickets and Personio conversations, query management and responding to relevant employee queries, escalating when necessary.
  • Working with the outsourced payroll partner and internal Payroll Team, ensuring timely submission for payroll cutoff dates. 
  • Liaise with multiple stakeholders such as People Partners, Talent Acquisition, and Hiring Managers to support them with questions to enhance the candidate experience.
  • Manage benefit plans in Spain (Private Health insurance and flexible retribution) and provide support (communicate with vendors, troubleshoot employee queries, identify issues and propose solutions)
  • Challenging and improving the current people operations processes so that they are optimized and leveraged globally.
  • Ensuring that people operations SOPs are updated in a timely manner.
  • Assisting team members with any ad hoc People projects.

What you need to succeed:

  • You have 2+ years of experience in People Operations (onboarding, job changes and offboarding).
  • You have extended knowledge in Spanish labor laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
  • You have attention to detail and are meticulous about documentation.
  • You have experience in handling contracts, letters and HR Documentation.
  • You have excellent communication skills. Fluent in English and Spanish. 
  • You demonstrate commitment to handling sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality and integrity.
  • You have experience collaborating with global teams and cross functions.
