The Role Objective
This is a busy role supporting the Head of People Services in the provision of a high quality HR service to GroupM UK employees.  The role is responsible for a number of designated team members.
You will have a thorough knowledge and experience of complex global matrix business models and how they operate with the ability to deliver people plans that enables the business to drive and deliver against their strategic priorities. 
 
A key part of the role is being able to handle a fast moving, constantly changing environment with a smile!  This role is central to maintaining a cohesive and positive working environment within the HR team, so being hands on and ready to help with whatever comes up is essential. This role leads a team of circa 12 team HR Advisors/HR Coordinators.
 
Responsibilities
 
·       Leading a team of HR professionals, who support our employee lifecycle; from issuing contracts of employment, to probation management, HR administration through the employee’s journey, through to their departure from GroupM.
·       Supporting the Head of People Services with creating and implementing high quality HR initiatives and processes to support the goals of the business.
·       Use HR experience and employment law knowledge to coach, advise and support your own team and managers on key employment processes of recruitment, induction, training & development, performance management, employee relations, restructures and redundancies, TUPE, disciplinary & grievance.
·       Providing advice on maternity and paternity leave cases and allow the HR Advisors & HR Coordinators to manage the day to day. 
·       Working on HR projects as and when required which add value to the business.
·       Identifying initiatives to constantly improve and deliver the HR service.
·       Building strong contacts and relationships with key stakeholders.
·       Ensure the performance management process is effectively implemented and that appropriate actions are identified and delivered in order to improve performance;
·       Lead on the delivery of solutions to complex people challenges and get to the root cause of the issue;
·       Ensure that all major HR interventions are well planned and delivered and are outcome, not process driven;
·       Drive timely and co-ordinated business improvements based on data insights and trend analysis;
·       Deliver an environment where team members can achieve personal growth and development in order to build succession planning within the HR team;
·       Contribution to the generation of ideas and assist the wider HR team and Head of People Services in the delivery of HR projects and initiatives across the Company whilst ensuring BAU is delivered.
·       Ownership of the smooth delivery of the following processes with support from HR Advisors and Coordinators:
o    All payroll changes, changes to employee’s terms and conditions, completed accurately and to deadline;
o    Sign off payroll monthly;
o    Pre-employment screening process i.e. reference checks, visas, work permits etc;
o    GDPR – ensure compliance and that the team are compliant in all we do and manage including current employees, new joiners, leavers and archived leavers;
o    Visa and Immigration management, including employee file auditing;
o    Administration of joiners,leavers, bonus management, merit increases & intercompany transfers;
o    Development and implementation of benefit initiatives;
o    HR administration service ensuring that employee data / information is handled, stored, processed and retrieved in a professional, confidential, accurate and timely manner in accordance with GDPR and best practice;
o    Performance management systems:
o    Annual review of internal Employment Policies to ensure they are current and compliant with statutory regulations. 
o    Deliver ongoing training to your team to ensure high service standards, attention to detail and accountability are forefront of the day to day working.  
 
Skills and Behaviours
 
·       Have a proven track record as a pro-active and self-motivated HR professional.
·       Experience in management of other HR professionals at a junior level.
·       Possess the ability to use good judgement when advising the business on appropriate actions.
·       Ability to deal effectively with change and ambiguity.
·       Excellent in building relationships with all levels of staff.
·       A compelling communicator, persuasive and confident in your client management and presentation technique.
·       Driven to achieve results and take accountability.
·       Deals constructively with frustration and pressure, maintaining a professional and positive manner.
·       Must have proven general commercial knowledge with the ability to translate this into making appropriate decisions to achieve the right outcomes.
·       Proven experience of working on change initiatives, for example, restructures, cultural change programmes and TUPE transfers/Intercompany transfers.
·       Up to date knowledge and working experience of Employment Law and the ability to advice on complex employee relations situations.
·       Experience of effective team leadership.
·       Motivated in prioritisation when conflicting priorities occur.
·       Ability to analyse information and present it in a concise and impactful manner.
·       Works collaboratively – recognises the value and responsibility of working in a team and seeks to maintain and build effective relationships both internally and externally.
·       Experience of using Workday or other HRIS
