People Operations Coordinator
Penta is seeking a People Operations Coordinator to assist the VP of People, US in providing a world-class employee experience at our global growing company. The People Operations Coordinator will support all activities supporting US employees, ranging from recruiting and onboarding to employee development and benefits administration. This is a unique opportunity for someone who is looking to further build their human resources career by supporting the growth and development of a talented team at an exciting point in our trajectory. This person will be joining a team that has a strong culture of teamwork and internal customer service for our employees.

The People Operations Coordinator is expected to:
- Provide excellent internal customer service for employees across the company, ensuring  a detail-oriented and thoughtful approach to the employee experience
- Serve as a thought partner to the VP of People, helping her focus on big picture items while ensuring the small details don’t slip through the cracks
- Support recruiting, onboarding, and training of employees across all business units
- Ensure employees have all the information they need to take advantage of the benefits provided by the company (i.e. establish documentation and consistent communication to employees for benefits, compensation, etc)
- Identify areas where policies and procedures may be needed to help support a smooth employee experience
- Serve as a resource for employees and support problem-solving and conflict resolution across the company
- Suggest improvements or initiatives based on quantitative and qualitative feedback from employees and stakeholders
- Lead company-wide employee initiatives in conjunction with the VP of People, such as performance reviews and annual retreats
- Provide support to the staffing, payroll, and benefits functions of the People team

The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, operations management, or related field
- 2+ years of experience working in roles directly supporting human resources activities or initiatives
- Strong customer service mentality and ability to take initiative and solve problems creatively and efficiently
- Strong appreciation for organization and attention to detail, understanding the importance of data integrity in all employee-related matters
- Strong analytical skills - ability to synthesize and leverage data to make decisions (i.e. Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, etc)
- High emotional intelligence and integrity, with the ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times
- Ability to embrace change and maintain a continuous learning mindset
- An entrepreneurial spirit, needing minimal guidance to come up with creative solutions to problems
- Experience working in a hybrid environment, preferably in a professional services, communications, and/or research firm
- Experience using Lever ATS and Paylocity HRIS - preferred

Location and Hybrid Schedule:
Our headquarters is in Washington, DC and most of the local team operates on a hybrid schedule. For this position, we are only considering applicants who are available to join our team in our downtown DC office in person three to four days a week.

Salary Range:
The base salary range for this position will be $65,000 - $85,000, depending on a candidate’s experience and qualifications as they relate to the position.
