5W is looking for a People Operations Coordinator to join our dynamic, fast-paced, and results-driven People Team. This role will be responsible for assisting with the execution of tasks within the core functions of the People Operations and Talent Acquisition teams. This individual will play a meaningful role in supporting the organization across a wide range of People initiatives during the entire employee lifecycle. The People Operations Coordinator is expected to demonstrate a can-do attitude, strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Here's what you'll be doing:

  • Organize and maintain HR documents in our shared drive, such as our handbook, benefits policies, and organizational charts
  • Ensure all digital employee records are maintained and updated accurately
  • Provide direct administrative support to the Chief People Officer, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and travel arrangements
  • Assist with the implementation of new systems, including testing and providing feedback for system improvements
  • Generate and file monthly reports from our HRIS system for analysis and compliance purposes
  • Partner with the People Operations Generalist on preparing, thoroughly reviewing, and processing all changes for our semi-monthly payroll review
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees who have questions or concerns about People related policies or concerns
  • Support initiatives such as employee engagement activities, learning and development programs, and the compensation review process
  • Provide support and feedback on all DE&I and Culture initiatives for continuous programming improvement
  • Partner with the People Operations Generalist to complete the New Hire onboarding process
  • Coordinate logistics for People Team-related events/meetings, including scheduling, material preparation, and follow-up communications
  • Update the department budget and submit all department expenses
  • Work closely with Office Services and IT for any ad hoc requests
  • Support recruitment team by scheduling candidate phone screens and interviews
  • Create a seamless experience for our candidates and hiring managers
  • Liaise with business to collect feedback and identify next steps for candidates
  • Maintain and track candidate pipelines in a web-based applicant tracking system, Lever
  • Work with talent team to post position ads to various websites
  • Assist with pre and post-employment requirements
  • Maintain lists of partner organizations, universities and networks

Here's what you have:

  • 0-2 years' experience in HR
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred but not required
  • Experience working with an HRIS System
  • Knowledge of employment law on the federal, state, and local levels
  • Always has a solution-driven mindset
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment and manage highly confidential information
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft programs such as Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint

NYC Salary Range: $50k- $55k

Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications
