The People Strategy and Enablement CoE (Centre of Expertise), within the People & Culture function, has a broad and diverse remit. This includes responsibility for people strategy, strategic projects, employee relations, governance and varied operational activities that support the function to run effectively and efficiently.

The People Operations Consultant has ownership of governance and operational activities. These activities tend to be cyclical in nature and include board reporting, people metrics reporting, budget management and P&C operating rhythms. The other key aspect of the People Operations Consultant role is project enablement, providing project coordination and hands on execution support for the strategic projects led out of the People Strategy and Enablement CoE. The successful applicant will have exceptional organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities to tight deadlines. They will be adaptable and comfortable in pivoting to support diverse programs of work, both operational and strategic.   

Key responsibilities 

  • Manage the preparation, review and submission of quarterly board reporting for P&C including oversight and coordination of timelines, input from stakeholders and preparing drafts for review and sign-off
  • Support drafting of the people section of the annual Sustainability Report, through coordination of project activities and sourcing/collation of inputs
  • Prepare quarterly people metrics summaries for the Group Executive and other metrics reports as needed
  • Maintain the portfolio view of P&C priorities, through driving monthly reporting processes with stakeholders and producing monthly progress reports
  • Lead preparation and execution of P&C Town Halls and other forums as required, including drafting of agendas, collation of materials and liaison with stakeholders.
  • Experience working in a HR environment would be valuable
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking capability, including comfort with numbers
  • Demonstrated organisational skills, with ability to plan effectively, bring structure to activities, and juggle multiple streams of work
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, with proven business writing skills and ability to develop polished presentation materials
  • Ability to synthesise complex information and structure clear narratives that tell a compelling story
  • Intermediate–advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills, given these applications are at the core of many activities sitting with this role
  • Proven stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build/maintain effective relationships and influence in a way that things get done.
