About the Role:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented People Operations Associate ready to grow within our People team. This role is perfect for someone with 2-3 years of HR or People Operations experience, ideally in a startup or fast-paced environment, who’s looking to expand their skill set and feel a sense of ownership in their work. You'll play a critical role in day-to-day operations, from onboarding/offboarding and payroll/benefits administration to HR systems management and compliance. You’ll also have the opportunity to take ownership of key People initiatives such as compliance, policy updates, and people analytics.
Responsibilities:

Onboarding & Offboarding: Manage the employee lifecycle, from clearing background checks and onboarding new hires to ensuring smooth offboarding for departing employees.

People Analytics: Collect and analyze people-related data, providing actionable insights to inform decisions around employee engagement, turnover, and satisfaction.

HR Systems & Processes: Serve as the point person for HR systems, ensuring data integrity and supporting process improvements.

Payroll & Benefits Administration: Collaborate with our Finance team and payroll provider to manage payroll and benefits processes. Provide timely support for employee inquiries.

Compliance & Policy Support: Assist with compliance efforts, ensuring HR processes adhere to federal and state regulations. Support policy implementation and communication across the organization.

Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including People Business Partners, Recruiting, and IT, to ensure seamless execution of employee-related tasks.

Ad Hoc Projects: Take ownership of initiatives like improving onboarding processes, assisting with a PEO roll-off or HRIS transition, and participating in cultural and DEI initiatives.
Qualifications:

Experience: 2-3 years of experience in People Operations or HR, with a strong preference for experience in remote settings, startups, or small teams.

Highly Organized: Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks autonomously while maintaining a high attention to detail.

Comfortable Working with Quantitative Data: Experience in creating reports and turning data into actionable insights to support decisions on employee engagement, turnover, and satisfaction.

Systems Thinking: Ability to think holistically about HR processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and efficiency across the employee lifecycle using HR systems and workflow optimizations. (Experience working with a PEO is a plus!)

Mindset: Self-motivated, independent worker, eager to take on new challenges and grow within the role.

Collaboration: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels and provide exceptional HR support.

Adaptability: Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the flexibility to switch between tasks seamlessly as priorities change.
