People Operations Assistant

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end onboarding and offboarding processes, including the preparation of offer letters, employment contracts, orientation schedules, and exit formalities.
  • Prepare HR-related documents, such as increment, promotion, and bonus letters.
  • Maintain and update employee records in HRIS and physical files (P-files) in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Coordinate the administration of employee benefits, including leave management, health insurance, and other programs.
  • Oversee monthly payroll processing, working closely with the payroll vendors to ensure accurate and timely salary disbursements.
  • Track and manage the application, renewal, and cancellation of work passes, visas, and related passes.
  • Support performance management and appraisal processes.
  • Handle the submission of government claims (e.g., maternity, paternity, and childcare) and complete government surveys.
  • Manage the tax clearance process and the annual IR8A exercise.
  • Assist in the annual audit process to ensure adherence to company policies.
  • Assist in reviewing and implementing HR policies and procedures to align with industry best practices and organizational goals.
  • Generate regular HR reports and analytics to support strategic decision-making and identify trends and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Oversee, plan, and execute various corporate HR initiatives and employee engagement efforts.
  • Handle any other HR-related tasks and initiatives as required.

Qualifications / Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business/Human Resources Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience.
  • Solid understanding of People processes, policies, and employment regulations.
  • Deep understanding of Singapore’s Employment Law.
  • Familiarity with HRIS and other HR-related software systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detailed-oriented and organized with the ability to multitask efficiently.
  • Ability to anticipate business needs, think proactively and respond appropriately.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
