The role:
We’re looking for a People Lead who can work beyond the oversight of people policies and processes, someone who can strategically identify opportunities, and deliver against them, to ensure our high growth agencies provide a best-in-industry employee experience that continuously puts the wellbeing and development of our people at the center of success.
Supported by a People Coordinator, the successful candidate will form part of the leadership teams of Burson Singapore and GCI Health Asia-Pacific, which have both overlapping and independent human resource needs.
The role will report into the Head of People, Asia Pacific, Burson, with a dotted line to the Global Chief People Officer, GCI Group.
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Business partnership and strategy
- Translate business plans and objectives into a strategic HR roadmap, including the creation of supporting initiatives and action plans
- Coach business leaders on people-related matters including talent assessment, development and succession, organisational effectiveness, and high-performing team characteristics
- Play a leadership role in the continuous design of each agency’s optimal organisational structure
Learning and development
- Lead the creation and implementation of highly engaging (and fun!) annual learning and development programs aligned to business objectives, leveraging internal and external trainers and program opportunities
- Support the Head of People Team, Asia Pacific, Burson and the Global Chief People Officer, GCI Group to roll out global and regional training opportunities for local employees
Recruitment and selection
- Partner with the leadership teams of both agencies to act as a trusted advisor on recruitment and hiring strategy
- Oversee the execution of the full recruitment life-cycle process, including the identification and implementation of process efficiencies
- Build and foster relationships with external hiring partners
Employee experience and culture
- Assess and revamp the end-to-end employee experience, including but not limited to employee onboarding, performance development and management, employee exits and alumni communication and tracking
- Play a key leadership role, alongside the full leadership teams, to continuously ensure workplaces that are clearly values driven with creative employee engagement programs conceptualised and delivered as needed
- Enhance existing employee wellbeing plans that live out our promise to demonstrate an industry leading commitment to mental and physical wellness
Performance development and management
- Oversee the performance management cycle processes for both agencies
- Play a lead role in compensation and benefits setting
- Effectively handle employee issues across the spectrum of potential concerns, including individual performance improvement planning and management
Processes and reporting
- Oversee local Human Resources reporting needs for our regional and global organisations as necessary.
Requirements
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES
Experience
- 7-8 years of human resources experience, some of which must have been spent in a creative agency or a consultancy based organisation
- Experience in a lead human resources role is favourable, but people ready to step up to their next career level will also be considered

- Adept at multitasking and managing multiple priorities simultaneously

- Proficiency in Singapore labour regulations
