People (HR) Rotational Intern

ActiveCampaign is looking for a People Rotational Intern! Early in Career programs create career pathways for students and career-transitioning individuals through internships, apprenticeships, and associate development programs. We’re investing in you for long-term career growth at ActiveCampaign. 

This rotational program will focus on learning core areas of the People Team (known commonly as Human Resources elsewhere) function through taking on hands-on projects that support our operations functions of People Operations, Benefits, and Compensation and shadowing other areas such as Diversity and Inclusion, Learning and Development, and Talent Acquisition. You will take ownership of projects from end to end, gain broad exposure to different functional areas, and acquire valuable experience through challenging projects and structured learning opportunities.

What your day will consist of:

The program is 6 months (with the opportunity to extend to 12 months) with rotations through different functional projects. During each core project, you will be assigned a mentor with expertise in that functional area and may work on cross-functional projects throughout this time in other related business areas. You’ll be paired with a manager for the duration of the program that will serve to facilitate conversations and act as a support system to ensure your success.

What you will need:

  • Must be within 1 year of graduation by May 2024 from a Bachelor’s or Master’s program and not have started in a full-time industry position since graduation from the most recent degree.
  • Demonstrated understanding of business concepts and theory behind processes.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and an understanding of the role that data-driven decision-making plays in a global organization.
  • Strong project management skills and evidence of measuring results & success metrics
  • Preferred but not required: Prior HR internship and/or HR-focused coursework
  • Exposure to some combination of the following software and systems: Workday, Lever (or equivalent ATS), Jira (or project management software), Tableau (or equivalent dashboard tools)
  • Proficiency in Excel and collaborative productivity suites like Google Workspace
  • Must be willing to work from our Chicago, IL headquarters.
