As a strategic partner, you'll report directly to the VP of People and play a crucial role in making EvolutionIQ a great place to work.

Your Impact: As a key member of the EvolutionIQ People Team, your role goes beyond traditional HR functions. You’ll help sculpt an ecosystem where every individual thrives, implementing strategies that drive compliance and promote a positive workplace.  Your efforts will enhance employee experiences, providing unparalleled service across a spectrum of functions including onboarding, benefits strategy, HR advising, and compliance that exceed our dynamic team’s expectations.  Your innovative ideas will help guide employee engagement and culture initiatives, fostering a mission driven environment rooted in appreciation and growth. We seek a team member to join us at our NYC headquarters 3-4 days a week. 

What You'll Achieve:

  • Champion Compliance:  Foster a secure, compliant work environment. Ensure 100% compliance with employment laws across our global operations at the federal, state and local levels. Lead regular strategic audits and develop risk management plans to safeguard our company and systematize our practices.
  • Revolutionize Benefits: Collaborate with our VP of People to introduce an affordable yet comprehensive benefits program that meets our diverse team's needs and reflects our commitment to our team’s well-being for our next phase of scale. Strengthen benefits processes and procedures around leave of absence and other areas. 
  • Cultivate Culture: Promote a vibrant office culture, engineering spaces and initiatives that resonate with our dynamic workforce. Through your involvement, we'll see a tangible uplift in engagement, satisfaction, and a sense of community for both our Manhattan office and the remote workforce.
  • Foster Recognition: Launch and evolve a brand new employee recognition framework that celebrates achievements and milestones, reinforcing our culture of appreciation and accomplishment.
  • Agile HR Leadership: Partnering with the VP of People, you'll ensure our People program and systems remain responsive, agile, and aligned with both our immediate objectives and long-term vision.
  • Employee Relations: Cultivate a supportive and transparent environment that addresses employee concerns, fosters positive relationships, and promotes a culture of trust and respect across all levels of the organization.

About You (Key Competencies):

  • HR Mastery: With your comprehensive expertise in People Operations/HR, you navigate the complexities of payroll, benefits, employment law, onboarding and employee relations with tact and effectiveness, offering strategic and evidence-based recommendations.
  • Analytical Prowess: Adept reporting skills, record keeping, and HRIS system proficiency. You’re able to derive insights that drive decision-making. Demonstrated ability to research and analyze HR issues and provide concise feedback and guidance, as needed.
  • Exceptional Communication: Your clarity and effectiveness in communication bridge gaps and build consensus, ensuring every voice is heard and valued.
  • Adaptability: Highly organized and detail oriented, you thrive in a fast-paced, growing technology environment, demonstrating flexibility and proactive approach.

Experience & Skill Set Needed:

  • Minimum 4-6+ years of related People Operations/HR experience, preferably in fast-paced technology environments. 
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HR regulations, such as COBRA, HIPAA, ACA, ADA, EEO, ERISA and FMLA requirements.
  • Strong experience with benefits, HRIS and payroll systems, open enrollment, benefits renewals and providing employee support in these areas.
  • Experience driving engagement through culture initiatives. 
  • Familiarity with global hiring and immigration law are a plus.
  • SHRM or other HR certification preferred.

  • Compensation: The comp range is $140-160k, depending on background and experience plus equity (stock options)

  • Office Life: Catered lunches, happy hours, and pet-friendly office space. $500 for your in home office setup and $200/year for upgrades every year after your initial setup
  • Growth & Training: $1,000/year for each employee for professional development, as well as upskilling opportunities internally
  • Sponsorship: We are open to sponsoring candidates currently in the U.S. who need to transfer their active H1-B visa
