People Development & Engagement Specialist

Position Summary:

The Talent Development and Engagement Specialist plays a key role in building community and inspiring strong connections for every employee. This position is primarily responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and maintenance of talent development programs, initiatives, and communications that promote engagement, professional development and recognition, while ensuring alignment with the vision and mission of WORQ. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement programs related to talent development, such as performance management, leadership and employee development, employee engagement and organizational culture work.
  • Serve as a key player in the administration and maintenance of the learning management system, including coordination and scheduling of HR focused employee training.
  • Facilitate new employee orientation/onboarding, with a particular focus on a positive, informative, and welcoming experience that introduces employees to the organization and its culture.
  • Seek to continuously advance the new employee onboarding experience by compiling feedback, partnering with key internal stakeholders, and developing new solutions.
  • Spearhead the development of a strong company culture across functions, with an eye toward developing a consistent company brand, both internally and externally.
  • Work with the team and key stakeholders to plan and facilitate employee events, which may include onsite activities, volunteer events, and virtual experiences.
  • Plan, craft, and manage the creation and distribution of communications, collecting and incorporating feedback, capturing and analyzing survey data, and developing and implementing engagement action plans.
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and best Talent Development practices; make recommendations to improve current programs and processes
  • Communicate effectively with team members, customers, and stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
  • Perform other or ad hoc duties and responsibilities as assigned by the superior (s).
     

 

    Job Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field of study; or, an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
    • Minimum of three years of work experience in human resources/administration and support of talent development/engagement activities.
    • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills; highly collaborative team approach to work.
    • Organization, strong attention to detail, and responsiveness are critical because of the high visibility of this team's work within the company.
    • Successful record of managing multiple projects with demonstrated ability to work independently preferably in a fast-growing environment.
    • Establish and maintain positive and effective work relationships with a diverse network of administrative leadership and staff
    • A passion for internal employee communications as a key culture-building tool to help boost engagement, belonging, and morale
