In the role as People & Culture Leader you coach, challenge and support the business, managers and co-workers in 2-3 leadership areas in Core Business Retail Concept to be able to deliver business and people results and to create an great place to work. You will lead the people & culture agenda in the business dimension by translating IKEA People strategy into actions in the leadership areas to fulfil business needs for today and tomorrow and securing we have the right competence in the right time and right place as well as securing excellent co-worker experience in operational dimension.

You provide People & Culture subject matter expertise and ensure that the People & Culture strategies are put into practice; you will also be responsible to develop a few people and culture capabilities on behalf of Core Business Retail Concept.

In this role your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Being genuinely curious on the Retail Concept business and develop a deep understand of the business, including its challenges, opportunities as well as its people implications so that to secure the IKEA People Strategy and retail concept people plan is well anchored and incorporated and translated into people agenda for the responsible leadership areas and teams
  • Contribute to the today and future people plans of Retail Concept by translating, implementing and integrating it into the business and truly contribute and add value to the business development in a fast changing and challenging world. Secure the long-term people/talent movements into strategic and tactic plans.
  • Secure that the P&C capabilities and processes and ways of working is understood and anchored in relevant management teams and businesses within area of responsibility
  • Contribute to the development of at least one Inter IKEA P&C Business Capability
  • Contribute to make IKEA a diverse and inclusive work-place and truly living the IKEA values.
  • Guide, coach, challenge, and support the management teams and managers for people related topics and safeguard People Principles are followed and implemented
  • Play a part in growing the People & Culture team to deliver great employee experiences in new and innovative way
  • Support your main stakeholders in analysis for actual and future needs
  • Secure engagement and retention throug monitoring the working conditions in all functions and taking needed actions
  • Support your main stakeholders in change management with IKEA values

Our requirements:

  • Have sufficient experience of senior managements business partnership in or outside of IKEA but in a sizable global organisation
  • Good understanding of IKEA direction and the strategic framework and the connection to competence. Broad business and Value Chain understanding, and IKEA set up
  • Good understanding in the IKEA Vision, Concept, Business Idea and IKEA Culture & Values
  • Very good understanding of IKEA people related approaches
  • Very good understanding in People processes, tools and practices
  • Very good understanding of behaviours of individual, team and organisational development
  • Deep knowledge in one or several P&C capabilities
  • Swedish labour law and P&C operations knowledge would be PLUS

This role will report to Retail Concept People and Culture Manager. The position is full-time (40 hours per week) and is based in Malmo, Sweden. Some travel will be required.
