People & Culture (HR) Generalist

SmartBear is seeking an experienced People & Culture Generalist for a temporary six-to-eight-month assignment to join our dynamic team. The Generalist will play a crucial role in supporting various HR functions, ensuring compliance with company policies, and fostering a positive workplace culture. This role is based in our Galway, Ireland, or Bath, England, office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employee Relations: Address employee concerns and grievances, resolve conflicts, and promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Onboarding: Assist in onboarding and ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new hires.
  • Payroll Administration: Support payroll administration by gathering and preparing necessary data to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Benefits Administration: Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives. Assist employees with benefits-related inquiries and issues.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with local and national labor laws and regulations. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation.
  • HR Projects: Participate in various HR initiatives and projects to improve processes and enhance the employee experience.
  • HR Metrics and Reporting: Track and analyze HR metrics, prepare reports, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Temporary Assignment: This is a six to eight months temporary assignment, based in our Galway or Bath office.
