The People Business Partner is responsible for providing strategic HR support to the business, including employee relations, benefits, onboarding, offboarding, performance management, and HRIS management. The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled and experienced HR professional with a strong understanding of Australian employment law and best practices.
This role will be based in our Sydney office and will be a hybrid working role. What does hybrid mean here at CG? Monday, Tuesday and Friday in office. You can enjoy plenty of flexibility with the added benefit of one wellness day a month available.
Responsibilities:
Provide strategic HR support to the Australia and APAC business
Manage employee relations, including handling grievances, disciplinary matters, and terminations
Oversee the onboarding and offboarding process for new and departing employees
Help ensure data integrity in the HRIS system
Stay up-to-date on Australian employment law and best practices
Provide HR coaching and development to managers and employees as needed
Work closely with the regional People Business Partner team to ensure a positive and productive work environment
Assist with the leave management process for Australia to ensure accurate reporting and timely communications
Assist with day-to-day people-related items and inquiries
What you will bring to this role:
Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field
5+ years of experience in HR, including 3+ years in a business partner role
Strong understanding of Australian employment law and best practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Understanding of other APAC HR policies and procedures is ideal but not required
