We are seeking an experienced, commercially savvy HR expert to join us in the New Year on a 12 month fixed term basis. Reporting to the Head of People & Culture, the People & Culture Business Partner offers a combination of strategic and operational HR responsibilities. You will partner with a large internal client group across Australia and Malaysia.
Your key Responsibilities:
As our BP, you’ll provide HR business partnering services for managers across a number of locations and business units within your portfolio; you’ll coach, guide and implement strategies to meet both long term and short term business goals. You’ll also build strong, effective relationships and gain knowledge of the business to enable effective decision making.
- Keep a pulse on employee engagement, working closely with people managers and employees to improve working relationships, build morale and retention. Interpret employee engagement survey feedback and able to develop actions plans to address gaps.
- Partner with Organisational Development and Learning & Development to support talent management initiatives including annual performance assessments, succession planning and talent road maps. Support employee and people manager training as required.
- Act as a trusted advisor to people managers and employees on HR policies, conflict resolution, and employee relations issues. Investigate, resolve and recommend solutions, and work toward positive outcomes. Ensure alignment with Australian employment laws and consult with internal legal counsel when required.
- Work closely as part of the P&C team, providing support and back up to colleagues as required and collaborate on projects and interventions as requested.
- Analyse HR metrics to inform decision-making, identify trends, and measure the effectiveness of HR strategies. Produce and present reports to senior people leaders.
- Extensive experience as a forward-thinking and commercially savvy People & Culture expert. Proven ability to switch between hands-on operational tasks and strategic thinking.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently working with diverse and dispersed stakeholders, managing multiple priorities and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with a solutions-focused approach.
- In-depth knowledge of Australian employment laws and HR best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
