People Advisor

We are looking for a People Advisor to provide initiative, advice, and coaching across the entire human resources and employee relations spectrum. Reporting into the People Manager, you will be responsible for partnering with different business units to deliver HR excellence with an initial focus on resourcing both within the UK and overseas.  

Currently the responsibilities in the People Team are split by business unit, so your role will be to guide on the entire employee lifecycle with your interests or experience giving you opportunities to lead company-wide initiatives.  

The People processes across the company are still in their infancy so we are looking for someone with strong initiative to make improvements where possible, finding the best solution for the moment and paving the way for continuous improvements as we grow.  

 

Responsibilities/ deliverables: 

These are the key things that you are responsible for delivering within your role. There will be activities and tasks in addition to this list that are expected from you but the majority of your time will be: 

Operational:  

  • Take the initiative to improve and streamline HR Processes without compromising compliance, fairness, and the HR brand. 
  • General people processing administration. 

Advocate:  

  • Maintain close proximity with the departments and related employees, supporting all with HR best practice 
  • Build and enforce awareness of the vision and goals throughout all employee lifecycle decisions. 
  • Support in the management of employee careers and succession planning  

Requirements

You will have previous experience: 

  • As a either a People Administrator or People Advisor with responsibility for HR processes. 
  • It is vital to be a people person over a process person. We use processes to ensure fairness and diligence but building strong, trusted relationships is the key to the People team’s success. 
  • Being the advocate for all HR best practices and process, used to guiding your managers in the right direction. 
  • Ability to treat all matters with integrity and absolute confidentiality. 
  • Ideally managing a varied caseload of ER and proven experience applying employment law to complex situations 
  • Experience using HR systems (Factorial and Workable)

Additional Information
