ABOUT THE ROLE
Nielsen is actively searching for a PC Support Representative responsible for delivering prompt and precise software and hardware assistance to internal and field users. This support will be provided through various channels, including phone, email, and chat services.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Offer technical assistance for Microsoft Windows, G Suite, Microsoft Office, and specialized applications.
- Conduct remote troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, and peripherals. Additionally, undertake the installation, modification, or repair of software applications.
- Address internet, intranet, and VPN connection issues.
- Manage the unlocking of user accounts and facilitate password resets.
- Record all incoming support requests in the designated custom issue-tracking software.
- Act as a liaison between the office, Nielsen Reps, and households.
- Serve as the primary customer service contact, addressing household concerns and questions while delivering effective solutions.
- Collaborate with the Application Development team to devise resolutions for all field-facing issues.
- Requires diplomacy, persuasiveness, and tact when interacting with US TAM field and office personnel.
- Able to identify new conditions or problems and promptly escalate them to the appropriate Subject Matter Expert (SME) or management personnel. Additionally, one must possess the ability to discern when to escalate an issue.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Demonstrates strong written, verbal, and electronic communication skills, ensuring effective interaction within the team and with stakeholders.
- Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and documentation skills
- Proficient in the use of Google Tools, including Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, and Sites,
- Holds an Associate Degree in Computer Science or possesses a minimum of 2 years of equivalent work experience,
- Experience in computer imaging creation, maintenance, and set-up, coupled with proficiency in SQL, offers additional advantages for the role.
- The candidates should be willing to work the graveyard shift from 8 PM to 11 AM Philippine Time to support the US Eastern time zone.
