How you will contribute to SLM's vision
As a Payroll Specialist at SLM, you will be the key point of contact for all payroll-related matters, ensuring seamless payroll processing for our entire organization. Your role will be critical in maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across all payroll operations, while continuously optimizing and enhancing our processes to support the company’s growth.
What you will be doing
- Managing payroll for all corporate entities, including weekly, semi-monthly and monthly payroll cycles
- Taking full ownership of payroll operations, driving improvements, and implementing new processes for greater efficiency
- Preparing and organizing payroll documentation for accurate and timely data entry
- Inputting and verifying payroll data in the system to ensure precision and compliance
- Collaborating closely with HR to resolve employee payroll queries and issues
- Supporting the day-to-day operations of the payroll department to ensure smooth functioning
Requirements
Your Skills & Experience
Experience
- 1-2 years of experience full cycle payroll processing
- Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and accounting principles
- Proficiency with automated payroll systems
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field is a plus
- Familiarity with payroll compliance and reporting standards across multiple entities is advantageous

- Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data entry and payroll processing
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Proven reliability in maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while adapting to changing priorities
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with HR and resolving payroll issues
- Problem-solving mindset and proactive approach to improving processes and handling discrepancies
