Payroll Officer

Manila, Philippines
The payroll officer is responsible for the day-to-day administration of payroll and statutory benefits, tax reporting, final pay, and government agencies coordination through partnership with our global payroll provider. This role will process Semi-monthly payroll responsibilities and provide support to Senior Payroll officer in all areas of payroll in PHL.

Job Responsibilities

  • Need 2+ year experience in Compensation and benefits role
  • Check attendance and verifies approval of application (leave, overtime, schedule, etc,) in every Department and submit payroll and receive files for check printing and bank deposits in One Hub.
  • Ensure that payroll processing and payroll validation is done efficiently and error-free to achieve the company’s service level goals.
  • Reconcile various payroll repots, analyze, and conduct research on discrepancies from the source based on payroll register.
  • Process last pays of terminated and or resigned employees including employee clearance administration by preparing Certificate of Employment, Quitclaim for resigning employees and BIR 2316 for resigning employees.
  • Assist in bringing resolution to all payroll discrepancies and taking corrective actions to achieve compliance.
  • Monitors employee deductions such as: HMO, Salary loan, SSS loan, Pag-ibig loan.
  • Ensure all yearend activities are carried smoothly by keeping in mind all the relevant deadlines are adhered to such as Prepare computation yearly annualization for 2316 BIR Compliance and BIR yearly ALPHALIST and submission.
  • Update policies and procedures for payroll administration and processing.
  • Assist external and internal customers with payroll concerns and perform miscellaneous clerical functions and special projects as assigned. Collection and management of employee information (including on boarding and exiting of staff for payroll purposes)
  • Review and understand all company policies with respect to those polices that may govern the assigned payroll responsibilities.
  • Ad hoc duties and projects as per Payroll Director’s requests.

Any Other Requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree in Business Management/Administration/Finance/Accounting/Banking.
  • Microsoft office suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Knowledge of payroll practices and Statutory requirements.
