About the role
The Payroll Manager holds a pivotal role in shaping the organization's success by strategically managing its compensation and benefits programs. This position will work closely with HR and other stakeholders in designing, implementing and overseeing administration of comprehensive strategies that attract, retain, and engage top talent, while ensuring compliance and competitiveness within the industry. With a focus on both compensation management and benefits administration, this role involves analyzing market trends, developing policies, and communicating effectively to optimize employee satisfaction and organizational performance.
The role will be based in Athens and will be directly managing a team of 4 Compensation & Benefits professionals, while closely coordinating with regional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Compensation Management:
- Develop and administer compensation structures, including base pay, incentives, bonuses, and equity programs.
- Conduct market research and analysis to ensure the organization's compensation packages remain competitive and compliant with relevant regulations.
- Determine appropriate salary ranges and pay grades, on the basis of job roles and responsibilities partnering with HR and TA
- Lead compensation benchmarking exercises and make recommendations based on vendor data, with consideration of industry trends and best practices..
- Benefits Administration:
- Oversee the design, implementation, and administration of employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.
- Collaborate with insurance brokers and benefit providers to negotiate favorable terms and cost-effective benefit packages.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to employee benefits across our markets.
- Communicate benefits information to employees and provide guidance on enrollment, eligibility, and utilization.
- Policy Development:
- Develop and maintain compensation and benefits policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Partner with HR leadership and legal counsel to ensure policies comply with local regulations.
- Regularly review and update policies to reflect changes in legislation, market conditions, and organizational needs.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze compensation and benefits data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Generate reports and metrics to track key performance indicators and compensation and benefits related metrics and costs.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior management to support decision-making processes.
- Employee Communication and Education:
- Develop communication materials and conduct training sessions to educate employees about compensation and benefits programs.
- Address employee inquiries and concerns regarding compensation, benefits, and related policies.
- Serve as a resource for managers and HR business partners on compensation and benefits-related matters.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in compensation and benefits management, with demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing competitive programs.
- Strong understanding of compensation principles, including salary structures, job evaluation and total rewards banding methodologies.
- In-depth knowledge of employee benefits regulations and experience managing benefit plans across multiple jurisdictions.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and present complex information to diverse audiences.
- Relevant Certified Professional Qualification is a plus.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and compensation management software.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
