Payroll & Benefits Analyst

The Opportunity

Brunswick Group is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Specialist to join our New York office. This position will be responsible for leading payroll and benefits administration for Brunswick US. The incumbent will work closely with Finance and the Human Resources team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Payroll

  • Review and prepare semi-monthly payroll
  • ADP workforce now management from on-boarding through reconciliation and reporting
  • Manage and work with payroll vendor (ADP) to transmit payroll
  • Primary ADP/Employee interface regarding firm payrolls & 401(k) funding
  • Manages workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
  • Full understanding of proper taxation in US states including California, Texas, DC and NY
  • Manages accuracy of all personnel records on ADP
  • ADP custom reporting and data verification as needed
  • Go to person for day to day payroll inquiries and system maintenance
  • Manage all new joiner / leaver data into Agresso or other time-keeping system
  • Create related payroll register journal entries in our General Ledger
  • Provide support for payroll and benefits related audit inquires
  • Solid experience handling HRIS reporting

Benefits

  • Administers benefits including carrier feeds via ADP, Analyze and review all invoices and make appropriate corrections
  • Assist with benefits annual enrollment process including updating ADP portal and carrier communication
  • Assist employees with login and member ID information
  • Reconciliation of firms insurance costs monthly
  • Oversees and prepares leaves and FMLA documentation notices
  • 401(k) Plan administration including enrollments, distributions and loans
  • Preparation of semi-monthly contribution and employer contribution reports
  • Prepare annual census report for testing, form 5500 and audit
  • Verifications of employment (both verbal and written)

 Knowledge & Experience:

  • 0-3+ years of experience in payroll processing (w/ADP, ADP Workforce Now)
  • Solid understanding of payroll and benefits laws is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to provide solid payroll council to employees
  • A BS/BA degree preferred
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with utmost discretion
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in an organized manner

Compensation

The applicant who is selected for this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits: 

In New York City, the range of base compensation will be: $55,000 - $75,000.

If an offer is extended to an applicant in New York City, the applicant will be paid in line with this range and based on the applicant’s experience and qualifications. This range applies only to the New York City position, and salaries in other offices and regions will vary based on an applicant’s experience and qualifications, as well as the competitive landscape.

Bonus Eligibility: Annual discretionary bonus contingent upon individual performance and the overall performance of the Firm.
