Let's start with the role

A Payments & Fraud Team Leader is responsible for leading a team of professionals focused on overseeing and analyzing transactions related to payments and detecting fraudulent activities. This role is pivotal in upholding the trustworthiness of our operations and providing excellent service to our customers.

 

As a Payments & Fraud Team Leader you will:
  • Monitor and analyze payment transactions to identify potential fraudulent activities;
  • Utilize fraud detection tools and techniques to identify suspicious patterns or behaviors and promptly investigate and escalate any potential fraud incidents;
  • Conduct risk assessments on payment transactions and implement strategies to mitigate risks associated with fraudulent activities;
  • Manage payment processing operations, including processing payments, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards;
  • Investigate payment-related discrepancies, chargebacks, and disputes, and work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve issues effectively;
  • Work closely with the Customer Service teams to address payment-related issues and resolve customer inquiries in a timely manner;
  • Stay updated on regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to payments and fraud prevention, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines;
  • Monitor systems and automations performance;
  • Liaise with external payment service providers and financial institutions to optimize payment processes and mitigate risks;
  • Collaborate with the Technology teams to continuously improve existing processes.

 

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field;
  • Proven experience in payments processing or fraud detections preferable in the online gaming/betting industry or related sector;
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills;
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills;
  • Good knowledge of sportsbook & casino products;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and identify patterns of fraudulent activities;
  • Familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements in the i-Gaming industry;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and cultures;
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the integrity of the company’s operations;
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office/Google Suite;
  • Good verbal and written communication in English.
