Payment Operations Manager

As Payments Operations Manager, you’ll get to:

  • Reporting to the VP Operations, work closely with Pangea’s operations and product teams to drive projects from concept through delivery.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between product and operations ahead of new product launches.
  • Act as the central point of contact for Pangea’s new initiative task force, ensuring that the executive team has the necessary information to assess risk related to new products and growth opportunities.
  • Assess progress to OKRs and support key Operations initiatives 
  • Lead twice-annual company-wide holiday preparedness efforts to ensure that Pangea’s quality scales with volume and be on point through holiday
  • Manage analyst reconciling payment files and confirming business volumes match monthly invoices for AP 
  • Support projects related to reducing cost and increase efficiency of payment operations
  • Support prioritization of new bugs from an Operations perspective
  • Coordinate with Treasury team for visibility to global FX strategy

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A bachelor's degree.
  • 6+ years of experience in project or program management.
  • Experience leading end-to-end program delivery across large teams.
  • Record of driving change and communicating results to stakeholders and senior leaders.
  • Willingness to engage the team in solutioning before escalating.
  • Track record of driving results and projects to completion on schedule and on budget.
  • Strong attention to detail; you are someone that digs in and understands every aspect of the project.
  • The passion to continuously learn and when something isn’t clear you take the initiative to figure it out.
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator, providing clear and concise updates to executive management and to all stakeholders in the organization
  • Critical thinker with strong analytical skills. 
  • Ability to thrive within an exciting and fast-paced environment with audacious goals.

Bonus points if you have:

  • Formal project management education or certification.
  • A master's degree. 
  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment such as financial services.
